Senior Analyst, Reporting & Analysis

Retail Credit is responsible for defining and implementing credit management and underwriting standards and together with the business, for the development of credit strategy and credit policy in the Retail (Ireland & UK) Division consistent within the Group’s risk appetite.
Reporting & Analysis is a new unit within the Risk Analytics area of Retail Credit.  The team is responsible for producing Credit MI and regulatory reports across a broad range of Retail Credit portfolios.  Our team provide insights to, and understanding of, current and historic credit risk performance.
The team is currently looking for the following candidates:
1-    BSc. undergraduate students in fields of Mathematics, Statistics,  Operations Research and Computing who need to complete an internship programme as part of the undergraduate course
2-    MSc. graduate students in fields of Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research and Computing who will be graduating this year and will be undertaking a summer project as part of their MSc curriculum
3-    BSc. & MSc. Student who have recently completed their course in fields of Mathematics, Statistics , Operation Research and Computing  and looking for their first career opportunity or are already employed and looking for a move to a new organisation

Responsibilities

·       Produce a timely, accurate and comprehensive MI reporting suite, and respond to subsequent actions for further investigation.
·       Respond to regular and ad hoc requests for reports and data from CBI and FSA.
·       Develop new reports in an efficient and flexible production environment.
·       Use their analytical skills to solve business issues using data analysis and report back to relevant stakeholders.
·       Contribute to new MI projects as they arise.

Essential Requirements

·       Strong quantitative background, including SAS programming experience.
·       Fully competent in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
·       Experience working with large datasets from multiple sources.
·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·       Ability to deliver and achieve results within demanding timescales.
·       Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
·       Ability to analyse, interrogate and interpret data patterns and trends within and across reports.

Desirable Requirements

·       The ability to translate business issues into the appropriate analysis and then communicate the results of that analysis back to the business.
·       Developed presentation skills and ability to work effectively with resources from across the credit, business and risk areas.
·       Credit, finance or risk reporting experience.
·       Experience with SAP Business Explorer and Experian Reporting Studio.
