July Dissertation Submissions

*** This message is of those students who commenced their dissertation last Jan/Feb and are due to submit this dissertations in July.***

The deadline for submissions is Monday 15th July before 1pm
No extensions are possible to this date and time.
If you submit after this date and time, your dissertation will be considered late and a maximum mark of 40% may be awarded.

Submit your dissertation in PDF format only on Webcourses.  Make sure that the document conforms with the dissertation template, formatting and page lengths.  All of this information is available on the Dissertation webpage.

Submitting your Dissertation
There is a change to the submission process. On the 15th July you only need to submit a PDF document on Webcourses. I have setup a module on Webcourses and every student who is supposed to submit has been given access to this module.

You should check that you can see this module in Webcourses, you can see and access the 'Submit your Dissertation' on the Contents page.  If you do not have access to the module on Webcourses or see the submission screen you should contact me before 1pm on 18th June. I will not be able to give you access after this date.

You should use the module on Webcourses to submit your dissertation, only

You do not need to submit a printed dissertation document on the 15th July.

Supervision
You have supervision up to 20th June. After this date supervision cannot be guaranteed. You should discuss this with your supervisor. If they are unavailable after the 20th June, you should discuss what work is remaining and agree how you should proceed with your work to ensure that you submit on 15th July.

Presentations
The presentation of your dissertations will be on 9th and 10th September.  I will be posting a provisional presentation schedule in a few days time.

You will have a maximum of 30 minutes for your presentation and discussions. This will consist of maximum of 15 minutes for your presentation and will be followed by 10 minutes for discussion.

You should bring your presentation of a USB key.
