Site Passport Developer – Work Placement Programme
Site Passport is a young and innovative Construction Technology company based in the heart of Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.

This role will involve supporting the Managing Director, Rob Fox and Lead Developer, Tirdad Kiafar


The Site Passport Work Placement Programme
The Site Passport Work Placement Programme aims to provide students with a real-world working environment so that they can learn and contribute in a rewarding and team-led work environment. In order to provide this setting, the student will be:

The Platform
The current stack consists of a SaaS provisioned web app. It was designed and built using professional UX and Web application designers, implemented in Laravel/PHP and hosted on Digital Ocean.

Site Passport remains technology agnostic and adheres to sound development architectures, patterns and practices over specific technology product-driven motivations.
Data will be content based, structured and non-structured. The data on the platform is one of the key high value assets and analytics and data value products will be a major focus. There will also be a credential verification engine/service and we are researching blockchain solution designs in Q3 2019.

Role Requirements:
Assist lead Developers to refine and develop new features on the existing code base
Work with product owners to help define requirements and features
Research frameworks and tooling
Assist in code base migration project 
Learn about IDE setup and SDLC process automation
Provide support and assistance to other team members
Opportunity to work within a new company and a small team

Skills and Experience
Be studying 3rd level Applications Development or Computer Science or Software Development equivalent
Keen interest and studies in MVC, RESTful, IOC, OEM
Exposure to Web Services and/or micro services
Fluent English and appropriate communication skills – understand problems, be able to communicate ideas and solution designs

Experience and interest in some of the following preferred
·             PHP/Laravel, Ruby on Rails, C#
·             Node.js, Backbone.js, Angular
·             MSSQL, sqlite, postgres,
·             NoSQL
·             Docker
·             .NET/Azure, AWS, Digital Ocean

This role will have scope to develop and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to become involved in the business after graduation
