In a 2009 report, the European Commission estimated the value of the EU Public sector data, which can be used as the basis for the development of new products and services, at €27 billion.
Through Dublinked Dublin City Council and Fingal, Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown and South Dublin County Councils are making their public sector data available to the business community to facilitate data driven innovation in products and services.

Supported by NUI Maynooth and IBM,
Dublinked will be officially opened by
Lord Mayor Cllr Andrew Montague.
