The event will aim to
- Examine of the myths and assumptions that assistive technology is effective in all environments
- Deepen the understanding around the stigmas for students with disabilities (learners) when transitioning from college to work
- Provide a check-list that will enable relevant staff and learners get the assistive technology right when moving into professional work
- Improve the quality of engagement between student support services/ faculty and the learner with a disability as they plan for job hunting
