Key Purpose of Role
· Be part of the data science team to transform data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
· Work with the rest of the data science team collaborating with the data engineering and product team to ideate and define machine learning and AI application across different businesses;[AZ1]
· Supporting and owning activities associated with the creation, implementation, and evaluation of the predictive analytics models/machine learning solutions;
· Support the productionisation of existing and new data science projects
· Sharing ideas with the team and contributing to the strategic goals.
Qualifications
· Bachelor or Master’s degree in a related field, e.g.: computer science, data analytics, statistics, applied mathematics.
Experience & Expertise
Essential:
· Excellent analytical and reporting skills with a very strong background in data science/machine learning/statistics;
· Solid experience in software development to support the productionalisation activities of the models though the full stack.
· Experience in data modelling and SQL development;
· Experience using statistical programming languages (Python preferred) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets for deep dive analysis;
· Proven experience dealing with large amounts of data;
· Direct experience with the entire data science project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, evaluation, testing, deployment, and presentation of results;
· Practical experience using machine learning and analysis techniques (clustering, regression, decision trees, optimisation, artificial neural networks, ensemble algorithms, time series, etc.) and assessing their real-world advantages, drawbacks, and ideal usage scenarios;
· Experience in working in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced customer-focused and dynamic environment.
· Experience in productionalisation and dev-ops approaches.
Desirable:
· Experience with Tableau or any other visualisation tool.
· Experience with version control systems (git preferred)
