Research Writing and Scientific Literature - Classes 24th April, 1st May

The next two classes will be allocated to supporting you creating your papers.
I will be arranging people to work in groups to read each others work and provide feedback.
This will be for 1 hour.
For the remaining hour I will review material on request and provide individual support.

Please indicate which of the days you would prefer for group work - either Tuesday April 24th or Tuesday May 5th - using the following link -
http://www.doodle.com/xm9sweyfeqiu649h

I will then create groups based on the type of work being done or level of work being done.

If there is anything in particular you would like me to review in class please email me and I will include it.

Research Writing and Scientific Literature Class Groups for Dec 5th and Dec 8th

Below are the groups for class on Monday Dec 5th and Thursday Dec 8th.
The purpose of these group sessions are to work with other students who are at a similar stage of work as yourself (not necessarily on the same stream), exchange papers and get useful feedback.

Anyone who is not included in the list below should attend class, bringing a printed copy of their draft paper and will be allocated a working group in class.

Anyone who wishes to meet with me beyond the meetings already conducted can do so in the class sessions.

Group sessions will work as follows:

  • Members of the group will exchange papers (this can be done in advance of class).
  • In class members will read each other's papers.
  • Members will discuss the paper with the author and offer constructive feedback and comments.
    • The aim is to identify areas that need clarification and to discuss the research questions which may offer helpful insights in the shaping of the questions.
