MSc Timetables for Semester 1 2018/2019

Below are links to semester 1 timetables for the MSc programme.

PgCert in DataScience - Semester 1   

Lectures start on Monday September 17th.

Please note that week 4 on the timetables is equivalent to week 1 on the DIT Academic Calendar. 

Part-time timetables for 2013-14

The timetables for the part-time MSc in Computing programmes are now available on the DIT timetables site.

All modules available to part time students are shown under the Programme Timetable by entering programme DT228B.

In addition, a number of class groups have been set up for the different streams.  When you access the timetables choose to print a Class Group Timetable and enter 228B (note no DT).  A list of available class groups which distinguish between year 1 or 2+ and stream ASD, IKM and DA are available.

Students who are on the older programmes, namely DT217, DT217A, DT230B, DT286 will find their modules under the class group for the appropriate stream.    Students on DT210 or DT202A should use the full programme timetable to locate their modules.

The Saturday schedule for 2013 is also now available in the link to the left of this blog.

Please note that there may be slight changes to rooms etc so be sure to recheck the timetables prior to attending your first classes.

Timetable changes for Semester 2 evening modules

The times of the following Semester 2 modules have changed:

Advanced Databases is now on Tuesday evening at 18:30 in room AU-1-006.

Software Project Management is now on Monday evening at 18:30 in room KE-2-008.

Based on agreed student module choices these changes should not result in module clashes. Web timetables has been updated.   Please contact cspg@dit.ie with any queries.

Knowledge Acquisition and Modelling Class Oct 8th

Class this evening will be in KA-3-005 (lab on 3rd floor) @ 18.30

Change of Day: Knowledge Acquisition and Modelling, Knowledge Management Tools & Techniques

From next Monday (Sept 24th)
Knowledge Acquisition and Modelling will be on Monday in KA-G-026 from 18.30 to 21.30
Knowledge Management Tools and Techniques will be on Wednesday in KE-1-005 from 18.30 to 21.30

Research Writing and Scientific Literature - Part-time Class

From Saturday 22nd September, students following Advanced Software Development and Information and Knowledge Management routes should attend the morning session starting @ 10.00 in KE-3-007a,
those following Data Analytics should attend the afternoon session starting @ 14.00 in KE-3-007a.
Any continuing students should normally attend the afternoon session, however if you need to request a change please contact me directly.

The dates for the modules that are scheduled for Saturday delivery are below:

Case Studies:  Sat 11th Feb;  Sat 3rd Mar;   Sat 24th Mar;  Sat 12th May;

Security:  Sat 25th Feb;   Sat 17th Mar**;   Sat 21st Apr;  Sat 5th May;

** The college will be closed on 17th May as it is a Bank Holiday but arrangements for delivery of this lecture will be made with the class.

Updated Module times for Semester 2

The daytime delivery of the Security module in Semester 2 has been confirmed - Tues 9am - 11am lecture and 1pm - 2pm lab.

Also Data Management in Semester 2 has been changed from Weds afternoon to Friday afternoon from 2pm to 5pm due to unavailability of rooms.
